Danielle Sands was born September 24, 1983, to Donald & Ann Armbrister in Nassau, Bahamas. Danielle Sands gained a Catholic school education through attending both St. Thomas More Primary School & Aquinas College High School. She then went on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Ryerson University, Toronto, Ontario in 2006. Upon her return to Nassau, Bahamas she worked at the Burns House Group of companies for 4 years in various capacities of administration & inventory control before moving on to become the Northern Bahamas District Supervisor for retail stores.
In 2010, she decided to return to the Tourism field and accepted a position of marketing and sales assistant to the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Sheraton Nassau Beach Hotel. In 2012, she became the Group Sales Manager for Latin America and The Caribbean and cross-trained in Leisure Travel Sales. Despite her enjoyment in this field, she decided to pursue her entrepreneurship goal of becoming a cafe owner. In January 2013, Danielle opened Crave at Studio Deli on Dowdeswell & Deveaux Streets where she oversees the daily operations. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur in 2013, Danielle worked in the food and beverage industry for over a decade.
The business has now been successfully operating for over 9 years and is preparing for expansion. In 2019, Danielle took on the role of Chief Administrator of Education at International Elite Sports Academy. In this role, she works with young men to accomplish educational goals while pursuing their passion for the sport of baseball. In addition to the role, Crave is a sponsor of the program by providing daily hot meals for young men in need. Danielle has been married to Geron Sands for over 11 years with whom she shares a son, Storm Sands.
